Everything that governs your use of Potatopay, on one page. Written to be read rather than agreed to unread — if a clause here does not match what the product does, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.

We, Potatopay ("Potatopay", "we", "us"), a platform established under the laws of the Republic of India, operate to facilitate and support creators ("Streamers") and their audience ("Supporters"). These Terms govern your use of the Potatopay website and associated services. By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any provision, please discontinue use.
A Supporter may attach a message, and at higher amounts a link to media hosted by a third party, which may then be displayed on the Streamer's live broadcast.
Users shall not:
Potatopay may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms, failure to complete identity verification, or transactions that appear fraudulent. Where an account is suspended, any balance held is reviewed before it is settled, refunded or withheld. An unused portion of a paid Plan term is refunded on a pro-rata basis where the suspension is not the result of the Streamer's own breach.
Potatopay is not liable for:
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the total Plan fees paid by the affected User in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with the date below updated, and notified by email where we hold an address. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh.
This policy governs financial transactions on Potatopay. It covers two different things — tips sent by Supporters, and Plans purchased by Streamers — which are treated differently, because only one of them is a purchase.
Although tips are generally non-refundable, Potatopay may consider a refund in these limited circumstances:
Where a tip is refunded after it has been credited, the corresponding amount is debited from the Streamer's balance. If that balance is insufficient, the amount is recovered from future tips.
For anything relating to payments, refunds or cancellations, write to support@potatopay.co. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM IST.
This policy sets out what we collect, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it.
We never receive or store card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs or net banking credentials. Those are entered inside the payment gateway's own interface and never reach our servers.
A Streamer's username, display name, biography, images, social links and public tip page are visible to anyone. A Supporter's typed name and message are shown to the Streamer, may appear on their live broadcast, and may appear in a public supporter ranking unless the Supporter chose to tip anonymously. Do not include anything private in a tip message.
Transaction and verification records are retained for as long as Indian financial and tax law requires, which is longer than an account's lifetime. Other account data is deleted or anonymised on request. Operational logs are pruned on a rolling basis.
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in a readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Verification documents are held in private storage and are not publicly addressable. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users of a breach that presents a real risk to them.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to support@potatopay.co, subject to the retention obligations in clause 6. We respond within 30 days.
Tip pages and broadcasts may embed media from third-party hosts, and creator profiles may link to external sites. Those services have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.
Potatopay is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and will delete it if we discover we have.
We may update this policy. Changes are posted here with the date below updated, and significant changes are notified by email or a notice on the site.
